Terms and Conditions for Volunteers – Konkan Trail 2025

The following Terms and Conditions are binding on the undersigned and the Green Trail Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Organizer’), governing your participation in Konkan Trail 2025.

1. You acknowledge and declare that your participation in the Event is purely voluntary, without any coercion, inducement, or undue influence, and undertaken at your risk and responsibility.

2. You expressly understand and accept that volunteering in the Event entails inherent risks, including but not limited to- physical exertion, accident, injury, illness, permanent disability, property damage etc. which may arise due to geographical terrain, weather conditions, natural calamities or the acts and /or omissions of other participants.

3. You understand and acknowledge that your participation in this event is purely voluntary and gratuitous, with no entitlement to remuneration, stipend, honorarium, or any other form of monetary or non-monetary benefits from the Organizer. It is further clarified that this participation will not give rise to any employer–employee, principal-agent relationship between you and the Organizer.

4. You affirm that you are medically fit to participate and assume full responsibility for such risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen.

5. You are required to strictly comply with all instructions, safety guidelines, and directions issued by the Organizer, its authorised representatives, or designated officials;

6. You are required to handle all the equipment responsibly and maintain discipline throughout the event.

7. You are expected to refrain from any type of behaviour that may jeopardize yourself, fellow participants, or the public.

8. It is to be noted that the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify or remove you from the Event at its sole discretion in the event of non-compliance, without any liability to refund or compensate.

9. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby irrevocably release, waive, and discharge the Organizer, its trustees, officers, employees, partners, sponsors, volunteers, and its authorised representatives from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, costs, or losses, arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Event, including but not limited to those arising from negligence of the Released Parties.

10. You further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the Organizer and its authorised representatives free from any liability against any claims, actions, proceedings, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal costs) brought by any third party as a consequence of your acts, omissions, or participation in the Event.

11. In the event of a medical emergency, you authorize the Organizer to secure medical treatment at your sole cost and risk.

You understand and acknowledge that the Organizer does not provide any insurance coverage, and all medical, hospitalization, or related expenses shall be borne exclusively by you.

12. You hereby grant the Organizer absolute right to use, reproduce, publish, or broadcast your name, image, likeness, voice, photographs, and video recordings, whether captured during or in connection with the Event, for promotional, informational, and commercial purposes, without any further consent, consideration, or compensation.

13. You understand and acknowledge that the Organizer shall not be held liable for cancellation, postponement, modification, or curtailment of the Event caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government directives, security concerns, or acts of God.

14. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Competent Courts at Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.

15. If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain valid and enforceable to the maximum extent permissible by law.

• You declare that you have read, understood, and voluntarily accepted these Terms in their entirety;

• You acknowledge that electronic acceptance shall have the same force and effect as a signed Indemnity Bond;

• You understand and agree that this acceptance is irrevocable and binding upon you.
